AGAPS@MESA
AGAPS is a member of the Middle East Studies Association (MESA), which is a private, non-profit, learned society that brings together students, scholars, and educators who study the region from all over the world.
AGAPS board and business meetings are held annually at the MESA conference, where we also sponsor panels, host films, announce award winners, and hold a social gathering.

AGAPS Business Meeting (open to public)
Thursday, November 2 from 12:30-2:30PM (EST) Room 512 E or via Zoom
Our annual Business Meetings are held at MESA each year and are always open to members and non-members alike. During these meetings we share our activities from the past year, plans for the coming year, and announce our annual award winners.
This year's meeting was held in hybrid format for those who could not attend in person.
AGAPS Annual Reception 2023
Thursday, November 2 from 6-9PM at Hotel Place d’Armes
In Partnership with the MENA Studies Dept. at Tulane University
Our special Happy Hour Reception was held at the Hotel Place d’Armes (55, rue Saint-Jacques Vieux-Montréal, QC H2Y 1K9). The venue is conveniently located across the street and 2 blocks East from the Northeast corner of the Montreal Convention Center
This year we are very proud to announce the co-sponsorship of our reception with The Middle East and North African Studies Program at Tulane University. Come and join us for an evening filled with local cuisines, beverages, and music, plus wonderful friends and colleagues.
