The Department of Judaic & Near Eastern Studies invites applications for a position in Middle Eastern Studies. The appointment will be at the Assistant Professor level, tenure track, beginning Fall 2015. Discipline and sub-discipline are open, though the following are areas that the Department seeks to develop: Ottoman and/or contemporary Turkish society, Iran, Islam and society, and gender issues in the Middle East and North Africa.  Competitive applicants will have high-level language proficiency relevant to their field and will demonstrate an innovative, engaging and rigorous research agenda. For further details for this position and application instructions visit:
