Short-Term Fellowships 2019-20. LSE Middle East Centre

The Kuwait Programme wishes to announce the availability of Short-Term Fellowships at the London School of Economics and Political Science.

Based in the LSE Middle East Centre, the Fellowship will enable the successful candidates to pursue research relevant to the Kuwait Programme for between two and three months. Applications are invited from researchers based at academic or research institutions in Kuwait who have a PhD or equivalent and wish to develop their research capacity and output.

The successful candidates will have access to the library, and will receive desk space and administrative support. The Fellowship includes accommodation at the LSE, a living allowance and a return economy flight to London. The Fellows will be required to write a research paper which will be considered for publication by the Kuwait Programme, and to contribute to the work of the Kuwait Programme more generally.

The application deadline is 31 January 2019. Applicants can undertake their Fellowship at any time between June 2019 and May 2020.

Applicants should submit a curriculum vitae, proposed dates of the Fellowship and a 2,500-word proposal (including bibliography) for a research paper, which explains its relevance to the work of the Kuwait Programme and the contribution it would make to the field. Applicants are advised to familiarise themselves with the work of the Kuwait Programme.
